We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician to join our clean water team in the North East London area.
As the successful candidate, you will be working in a Small Process Plant (SPP) Team that operates 5 clean water treatment works. Production output ranges from 5 to 50 Ml/d and each site has different treatment processes including clarification, filtration, GAC pesticide and organics removal, UV, and chemical disinfection.
What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician (Water)- You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of water treatment works across the North and east London area working as part of a team of Process Technicians, to ensure the effective and continuous operation of the site.
- The sole responsibility for a range of activities, including the operation of the plant, routine checks, front-line maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure services are maintained within a network of operations.
- Responsible for all activities carried out at the site, including those delivered by contractors.
- To ensure that statutory and regulatory compliance is met, through the operation of plant and equipment, cleaning, basic maintenance, fault-finding, monitoring, collating, and reporting data.
- Process fault finding and suitable rectification by the first fix.
- Undertaking H&S and security checks.
- Completing planned and preventive maintenance of the assets to ensure the compliant operation of the plant.
- Monitoring, collating, and reporting of data to ensure that statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
- Taking personal responsibility for the health and safety of oneself and colleagues.
Base Location: Chingford - E4 7PX.
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday 7:30-15:36, 38 hours per week including working on a call-out rota where you will receive additional payment.
Necessary requirements for the role: A full, clean UK Driving Licence
What you should bring to the role- The ideal candidate will have experience in a relevant industrial processing/engineering environment.
- You would be working to attain an NVQ Level 2 or possess or be working towards a similar qualification.
- You will have basic literacy and numeracy skills and must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures, including Confined Space Entry.
- Computer data input /enquiry experience is essential.
- Have a willingness to learn and develop within the team.
- A full UK Driving Licence is required.
