Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile supplier invoices, ensuring accurate payment within 30-day terms.
- Process customer invoices and manage credit control by chasing payments to maintain aged debtor balances.
- Input payroll data onto the portal for fortnightly and monthly payments.
- Post journals to Sage and process CIS returns, including reconciling HMRC and CIS certificates.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and submit to HMRC.
- Post weekly bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Produce quarterly management accounts for the Financial Controller.
- Support the preparation of year-end and annual accounts for the Financial Controller.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience using Sage 50 for accounting and financial processes.
- Strong Excel skills, including V-Lookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with HMRC/CIS payments and related returns.
- A solid background in bookkeeping, with longevity of experience in similar roles.
