Our client, a well-established construction company, is seeking an experienced
Finance Assistant to join their team in
Redhill. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to contribute to financial planning, reporting, and process management in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Track expenditures against budgets, analyse variances, and update budget forecasts
- Prepare, update, and monitor cash flow statements, P&L reports, and balance sheets
- Assist in financial planning, cost control, and resource allocation
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual finance reports
- Provide documentation for external and internal audits to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate finance records, contracts, and documents
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers, clients, and auditors regarding finance queries
- Oversee the general ledger and sub ledger to ensure correct reconciliation of transactions
- Handle accounts payable, including invoice verification, approval, and payment processing
- Maintain and update the sales and purchase ledger
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Utilise Xero, Excel, and Microsoft Office to support finance management and data analysis
Candidate Requirements:- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar finance role
- Strong understanding of finance processes, reporting, and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in finance software (Xero preferred), Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Package & Benefits:- Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 per annum
