Roles & ResponsibilitiesA leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company specialising in Aerospace has an immediate requirement for a highly experienced Maintenance Engineer for their Ramsgate based operation (CT12).
The main responsibility will be to carry out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment
The ideal Maintenance Engineer must be fully skilled to perform the following mechanical and electrical tasks:
- Mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, boring machines.
- Machine strip downs and rebuilds
- Planned and preventive maintenance
- Mechanical installation including pipe fitting and machine moves
- Electrical fault finding on both single and three phase systems
- Electrical installation work including panel building
- Programming temperature PID controllers.
- Perform safe isolation and lockout of equipment.
- Create risk assessment/method statements before commencing work activities.
This will require the successful Maintenance Engineer to provide out-of-hours support on critical maintenance, breakdowns and projects as and when required, therefore a high degree of flexibility is required.
To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer role:
- Experience working within a mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering environment.
- Experience in performing repairs on CNC machines NDT machines, electro-plating machines or paint spraying machines.
- Knowledge of electrical systems both single and three phase.
- Mechanical experience in maintaining plant equipment.
- Experience undertaking general fabrication work (mechanical and electrical).
- Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
- Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems.
Qualifications and competences required by the successful Maintenance Engineer - Excellent analytical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Well-versed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, MS Project).
- Strong organization and planning skills.
