Role Overview:
Pertemps is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Disrepair Technical Officer to join the growing team at the London Borough of Harrow. This temporary role offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £16.19 PAYE, along with comprehensive training, excellent career development opportunities, and 21 days of annual leave (excluding Bank Holidays).

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing disrepair cases within the council, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective case progression from initiation to closure.
• Providing technical expertise on disrepair cases, and maintenance concerns.
• Offering guidance and support to Harrow residents, including those who may be vulnerable, challenging, or in distress.
• Assisting colleagues across all levels within Asset Management, contributing to the delivery of Technical Services.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of the diverse communities in Harrow and the impact of repair services on residents.
• Proficiency in IT applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, with familiarity in repairs database systems such as Northgate.
• Solid knowledge of building repairs and the significance of cyclical maintenance.
• Awareness of repair challenges within a social housing context.
• A strong grasp of excellent customer service principles and their application in the role.
