Salary: £30,000 per annum (Negotiable) + Bonus (Twice a Year)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00 (Flexible)

Our client, a modern and rapidly growing freight forwarding company in Worcestershire, is seeking a skilled Air & Sea Freight Forwarding Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in air and sea freight forwarding, handling both import and export shipments from start to finish. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will be liaising with clients, overseas agents, and suppliers to ensure a smooth and efficient forwarding process. The role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide competitive quotes for air and sea freight shipments, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
• Book shipments with suppliers and freight carriers, managing logistics for both imports and exports.
• Accurately input shipment details into the Fast Freight system and maintain up-to-date records.
• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring correct pricing, and issue invoices to clients.
• Prepare and send shipping instructions, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth processing.
• Liaise with clients, overseas agents, and carriers, providing shipment updates and resolving any issues.
• Monitor shipments from dispatch to final delivery, proactively managing any delays.
• Work with a third-party customs agent to ensure all necessary clearance procedures are completed.
• Prepare required documentation when needed, ensuring compliance with trade regulations.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets with shipment details, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in Air & Sea Freight Forwarding (import & export)
• Knowledge of freight operations, logistics coordination, and supplier management
• Familiarity with freight management systems (Fast Freight preferred)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with clients and agents
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
