We are looking for someone experienced in freight and UK imports sector to join a globally renowned logistics company in Castle Donington.
Monday to Friday
09:00-17:30
You will be joining the freight forwarding team on site on a temporary to permanent basis. Day to day activities include:
- Preparing and maintaining import documentation in line with regulatory standards
- Acting as main POC for suppliers, customers and third party agencies
- Coordinate with third parties to ensure smooth clearance of goods through customs
- Schedule and track shipments, rectifying any issues and keeping parties informed of any changes/delays
- Supporting other departments in busy periods or absence cover
About you:
- Experience working in import operations, preferably in a logistics environment.
- Familiarity with import regulations, customs documentation, and global shipping procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic knowledge of import/export management software.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
