Facilities Support
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £16.48 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday (35 hours) 9am- 17.00pm & 9am-14.00pm (Friday early finish)
Job Role:
- Ensuring both buildings are safe and adhering to Health and Safety requirements.
- You will support the delivery of the facilities and services effectively for both offices to ensure colleagues and external visitors have a great experience when visiting our offices.
- Sharing your knowledge, expertise, and ideas to create an engaging environment for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the physical environment is fit for purpose in terms of premises, facilities, health & safety, office environment, and customer service.
- Projects to improve the workspace and meet the changing environmental requirements.
- Gather and be able to compare and make recommendations for supplier quotes and programmes of work including repair, maintenance or enhancements
- Draft proposal papers, and project plans, delivering projects within costs and timelines
- Delivering the services required for the day-to-day operation for the smooth running of the office
- Working closely with Head of HR and manage key relationships with maintenance external suppliers, managing contractors, and Health and Safety providers
- Ensure annual budget forecasting, and management of costs throughout the year
- Managing the cleaning suppliers and ensuring a great service is delivered
- Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety processes and procedures
- Managing audits and compliance requirements
- Working in collaboration with internal stakeholders and making sure that the offices are set up for any events, meetings, briefings etc
- Ensuring all documentation relating to Health & Safety is kept up to date, digitally recorded eg Risk assessments, Company car records, Fire wardens, First aiders, PAT testing, audit next steps etc
Requirements:
- You will embody values - progressive, passionate, professional, practical
- Proven track record in managing colleague-facing operations, with particular experience in Facilities Services and Health & Safety Management
- Previous experience in Facilities and Health and Safety and a keen interest in keeping your knowledge up to date
- You will be a strong communicator at all levels; comfortable delivering internal and external messaging in a variety of formats including written, online events, presentations, project meetings, and telephone calls
- You will be highly organised, manage projects small and large, and equally be hands-on in your approach with an eye for detail
- You will be approachable, calm, and able to work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment
- You will be a starter-finisher, like to deliver on time, able to motivate yourself and maintain close relationships
