Mental Health Social Worker, EIP LondonPertemps are recruiting for qualified and experienced Social Workers to join the Community Mental Health service within Redbridge’s Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team. We are looking for a social worker who is a motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner with proven abilities to work positively with service user, carers and family.
Redbridge EIP is a multi-disciplinary service, providing a range of specialist interventions within an integrated person-centred approach to people aged 14-65 resident in the Borough of Redbridge experiencing or suspected of experiencing a first episode of psychosis. EIP is an exciting community mental health specialist team that is well resourced to support the team to ensure that they offer the NICE guideline for interventions that require the collaborative working through their multi-disciplinary team – including IPS worker, STR worker, psychology, and physical health assistant.
Main responsibilities/duties:- To provide an integrated recovery centred clinical service to people aged 14-65 living in the Borough of Redbridge, who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis, in accordance with the new waiting time guidelines NICE Standard 80.
- To assess and act as care coordinator to clients referred to the service, in accordance with Care programme Approach (CPA) policy. Undertake comprehensive assessment of health and social needs together with the service users implement a plan of care and intervention to meet these needs, ensuring regular reviews are in place for evaluation of the care plan.
- To provide carer assessments to ensure carers and family are included and supported and in care planning. To participate in carer focused education, family intervention approaches, support programmes and carers groups providing information about relevant legislation and carer’s rights.
- To facilitate and implement the Trust and Local Authority requirements in relation to safeguarding children and guidance legislation within the Care Act 2014. To adhere to the requirements of the Safeguarding Adults policy.
- To support with Care act assessments and human right act assessments as required.
Requirements:It is important to that the successful candidate is an experienced qualified professional, possessing a commitment to working with young adults, their carers and family. Is passionate toward EIP as a service and model and is committed to developing and promoting evidence-based best practice. Possesses an understanding of how multidisciplinary teams need to function and be passionate about delivering quality services. To also be conversant with adolescent mental health interventions, the evolving needs of our service users, their carers and family.
- At least 2 years post-qualifying experience within adult mental health social work teams
- SWE registered
The post is full time, offering excellent opportunities to develop special professional interests; share expertise and work closely with colleagues. Good support and partnership working is offered. Close relationships also exist with multi-agency partners and specialist Perinatal and CAMHS services.
The teams operational working hours is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm although some flexibility may be needed, a car driver would be desirable but not essential for the role.
