Position: Senior Social Worker
Team: Court Team, Children’s Services
Location: Sutton (with home-based flexibility)
Rate: £37 per hour

Role Overview
Pertemps is recruiting qualified and experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Court Team within Sutton’s Children’s Services. In this role, you’ll manage cases through court proceedings, from initial hearings to final decisions, and support cases progressing to adoption if required. You will be responsible for report writing, viability assessments, parenting assessments, and providing court evidence, ensuring a high standard of professional documentation and case management.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Oversee cases within court proceedings, ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines and timelines.
• Court Involvement: Prepare and present comprehensive court reports and viability assessments, providing evidence in court as needed.
• Child Protection and Looked-After Children: Manage cases involving looked-after children and children under child protection (CP) plans, focusing on children within care proceedings and adoption cases.
• Assessments: Conduct viability and parenting assessments, working with children placed with parents, family members, or in local authority care.
• Work Arrangements: Primarily home-based, with visits to children, biweekly office duties, and attendance at in-person meetings as necessary.

Requirements

• Must have court experience, knowledge and be able to write court reports, undertake parenting assessment and work with children placed with their parents, other family members or in our care.
• SWE registered
