Personal Advisor, £25ph, Leaving Care, LondonPertemps are seeking a
Personal Advisor to join Hackney’s Leaving Care Service. This role will involve working closely with
Social Workers, other Personal Advisors, and relevant agencies to ensure that young people aged 18-25 have the support they need for a successful transition to independence. As a Personal Advisor, you will manage a caseload of care leavers, helping to assess and develop
Pathway Plans while connecting them with essential resources.
Key Responsibilities- Case Management: Hold a caseload of up to 25 care leavers, providing tailored guidance and reviewing Pathway Plans in a timely manner.
- Collaborative Support: Work alongside the Virtual School, accommodation providers, and the PMU to support care leavers’ needs in education, housing, and independent living.
- Skills Development: Assist young people in preparing for independence by offering practical support and guidance in areas such as education, employment, housing, and financial management.
- Engagement & Organisation: Establish trusting relationships with care leavers, employing strong organisational skills to maintain timely updates and accurate records.
Qualifications and Experience- NVQ Level 3 in Education or equivalent qualification in child and family training.
- Prior experience as a Personal Advisor in a statutory setting, or experience working directly with young people aged 18-25 in the community.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
