An opportunity has arisen within Gloucestershire County Council for a part time 22.2 hours Occupational Therapist on a temporary basis.
A clear and valid driving licence is a requirement for this role as it involves county-wide travel.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated Occupational Therapist to join our busy Cheltenham Locality team on a temporary basis. You will be working autonomously within the adult social care team completing assessments within people’s own homes and with a focus on what matters to them.
Key duties and responsibilities will including working with people to identify occupational performance issues which are impacting upon their independence within their home. You will work with them to prevent, reduce and delay the impact of disability and long term health conditions supporting their wellbeing. You will work with the wider social care team to inform care needs assessments whilst working in partnership with people, voluntary and community organisations.

- Registered with HCPC and RCOT
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Experience of working as a registered Occupational Therapist for at least 18 months or equivalent competency through prior experience
- Experience working within community setting and working with people within their own homes
- Specialist training or equivalent competency in environmental adaptations or equivalent experience
