I have an exciting opportunity available for a Assistant Contract/Project Manager (Fabric) who is looking to progress their career into a Contracts/Project Manager Position.
My client are a Building Services & Specialist Contractor who have been established in 2003 who have 8 Offices throughout the UK.
As a business, they employ 300+ Staff Nationally and are expected to Turnover £55Mil+ this year.
Working within the Commercial & Public Sectors, their sites are generally within London, Surrey, Kent & Sussex.
Due to growth of business, they are now seeking an Assistant Contract/Project Manager who comes from a Fabric background to join the team, to work on a mobile basis covering London & The Home Counties.
THE JOB – ASSISTANT CONTRACT/PROJECT MANAGER The ideal candidate will come from a Fabric background and be looking to progress their career.
Your area of cover will be London & the Home Counties.
You will be working under with a Contracts Manager to relieve some of their workload, learn daily and further progress your skillset.
Monday – Friday / 8am - 5pm
Project Values will vary from £100 - £20,000.
This is a fast paced role, where the jobs would be of low value but high volume.
Responsibilities:- Carry out Quotes & Surveys from Report Requests for Small Works Reactive projects.
- Direct and manage project development from start to finish, having responsibility and accountability for all aspects of the project.
- Liaise with the main contractor, sub-contractors, suppliers and the client
- Plan the utilisation of resources, both available and required
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a clear and timely fashion.
- Co-ordinate the efforts of team members and third party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project according to plan.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones, track project milestones and deliverables. Troubleshoot problem areas.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and develop contingency plans.
- Prepare & update cost control sheets on a weekly basis
- Prepare & issue weekly/fortnightly Progress Report
