Special Education - Intervention & Learning Support Mentor

 Are you an experienced or aspiring SEND member of Support, looking to take on a Specialist Mentoring and Physical Intervention based role? 

We are looking for THREE individuals to join our Independant SEND School based Between Newmarket and Haverhill. 

This is a FULL TIME, and LONG TERM assingment via Pertemps - however if you are looking to take on a Permanent and salaried position then this will be an available option to you should you get on well and enjoy yourself. 

This is a school for children of Primary & Secondary ages who typically find mainstream education difficult. This means that their Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) whilst include a variety of learning difficulties such as Speech Learning Difficulty, High and Low Ability Autism and complex neurological needs. We utilise a range of outdoor & indoor learning and therapuetic internvention tools, with a chance to explore the Suffolk countryside on the doorstep, in addition to state-of-the art physical based activity setups within the provisions site, and a residential home!

Pertemps ideal candidate:

• Educational or Care Work experience – with young people (preferably but open to experience)
• Grades c and above in English/maths/science (negotiable depending on experience)
• Have supported young people with behavioural issue, selective mutism, ADHD, Autism
• High level of patience 
• Own Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can process one for you)
• Be available to visit the school before Easter 2024, to start ASAP or from April 15th 2024. 

- School hours are 8:30 to 16:30 with a number of early finishes & school trips. 
- Paid during the term time - paid weekly via Umbrella Payroll (with free accreditation learning & training courses offered!)
- Agency rate £95 per day (£475 per week)  Mon to Fri 
- ASAP or April Start
