Location: Blandford Forum, Somerset
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (£17.50 - £18.50+ per hour)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 + overtime, callouts, and weekends as required
Bonus Scheme: Available

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for independent and confident individuals with a strong background in plant, electrics, hydraulics, and mechanics. The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
• Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, and transmissions
• Ability to diagnose and rectify faults using electronic diagnostic equipment
• Strong IT skills and the ability to complete digital reports
• A full UK driving licence (and willingness to operate machinery – training provided)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain plant equipment to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults
• Use our diagnostic software (training provided)
• Identify and report defects while upselling services (with financial incentives for referrals)
• Complete detailed job reports using our tablet system
• Work closely with the service and parts department
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and complete risk assessments
