Job Description:Derbyshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team in the Amber Valley Locality. This role involves managing a caseload of Single Assessments, Children in Need (CIN), and Child Protection (CP) cases. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting Single Assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
- Managing and supporting Children in Need (CIN) cases.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children through Child Protection (CP) case management.
- Providing specialized support to individuals with Learning Disabilities and Neurodiversity.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Triaging referrals and making MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) enquiries.
- Speaking to parents and agencies to gather information.
- Making threshold recommendations to determine if assessments are needed.
- Giving direction to MASH Officers (call handlers).
