 This role sits within the 
Revenues and Benefits service and supports a busy, fast-moving housing team providing vital assistance to residents across the city.

 🛠 What You’ll Be Doing- Providing reliable administrative support through telephone, email, and online communication.
 - Assisting customers with Housing Benefit applications, funding queries, and general housing-related enquiries.
 - Managing the Revenues and Benefits mailbox, ensuring all correspondence is handled promptly and accurately.
 - Processing and updating financial transactions and client records using internal IT systems.
 - Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
 - Supporting team operations through accurate record-keeping and administrative duties.
 - Communicating confidently, calmly, and empathetically with clients in challenging situations.
 - Working collaboratively within a small, friendly team to meet tight deadlines and service targets.
 
 ✅ What We’re Looking For- Proven administrative experience in a busy office or public sector environment.
 - Strong IT skills, including accurate data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office.
 - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
 - Calm, empathetic, and professional manner when dealing with the public.
 - High levels of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
 - A proactive, quick-thinking approach in a fast-paced setting.
 
Desirable:- Experience within housing, benefits, or local authority services.
