I am currently recruiting at a residential unit that are looking for an experienced and passionate Cook to join their team.
This position is working with vulnerable people and therefore you must hold a valid enhanced DBS or be able to pass one in order to be successful in this role.
As Cook, your duties will include –
- Taking responsibility within the kitchen, understanding customer’s needs & requirements
- Prepare, cook & serve hot and cold meals that are nutritiously balanced
- Involvement with stock control, managing the kitchen budget, ordering supplies
- Ensuring all training volunteers are given a minimum one week working alongside the Chef to look and learn at how to prepare and cook a healthy meal and budget for these meals
- Efficiently and effectively be able to work in a team and lead and train where needed
The ideal Cook will –
- Be a great cake baker in order tomaintain venues reputation

- Have a track record of effective leadership skills

- Be flexible and enthusiastic
As Cook, you will be working 37.5 hours per week including Friday, Saturday & Sunday and will be paid a salary of £23,500 per annum. The working hours are 4 days on and 4 days off.
