Head of Inclusion, Assessment and Review Service - Middlesbrough
12-Month Cover | £500 per day | Full-Time Pertemps is currently recruiting for an experienced
Head of Inclusion, Assessment and Review Service to join a local authority on a 12-month interim basis.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving strategic direction across statutory SEND services, inclusion, and provision planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the delivery of statutory SEND services, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and all relevant legislation.
- Oversee inclusion, outreach, and specialist teaching services, with a focus on improving outcomes for children and young people.
- Manage placement and provision planning, ensuring sufficiency and quality of placements across education settings.
- Lead and inspire diverse multidisciplinary teams, promoting high performance and collaboration.
- Build and maintain effective multi-agency partnerships with schools, health, social care, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee budget and resource management, ensuring efficient use of funding and value for money.
- Drive service improvement and change management initiatives aligned with local and national priorities.
Requirements:- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within SEND or Inclusion services.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, inclusion policy, and alternative provision.
- Demonstrable experience of strategic management, budget oversight, and staff leadership.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
