Occupational Therapist – Adult Services
Location: Barnet
Hours per week: 36 hours
Rate per hour: £33.43 per hour We are seeking an experienced
Occupational Therapist to deliver a high-quality service to adults in Barnet, supporting independence, wellbeing and safeguarding responsibilities under relevant legislation and local authority policies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional OT assessments for older adults, people with physical/sensory needs, learning disabilities and their carers, in line with the Adult Social Care Outcomes Framework.
- Safeguard adults at risk, applying Making Safeguarding Personal (MSP) principles.
- Complete and review individualised, outcomes-led care and support plans, keeping wellbeing at the centre of all decision-making.
- Support people to maintain health, independence and resilience by offering clear information, advice, and signposting to preventative services.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, development and high-quality practice within the service.
Requirements- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Recognised Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working with adults, older people, physical disabilities, sensory needs or learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of Care Act legislation, safeguarding responsibilities and strengths-based practice.
- Ability to complete comprehensive OT assessments, moving & handling recommendations, and outcomes-focused support plans.
- Effective communication skills and confidence working independently within a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
