About the Role:
Pertemps Recruitment Agency is seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a committed team in Barnet. This is a full-time position, working with adults aged 18+ with disabilities, conducting Care Act-compliant assessments, and recommending appropriate interventions to support independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for adults with disabilities, ensuring compliance with the Care Act.
• Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning to prescribe both simple and complex equipment.
• Carry out thorough risk assessments and Manual Handling assessments.
• Provide recommendations for major adaptations, including referrals for Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) as needed.
• Collaborate with service users, families, and other professionals to ensure holistic, person-centred care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Extensive experience in social care, including comprehensive OT assessments for adults aged 18+.
• In-depth knowledge of major adaptations criteria and relevant legislation.
• Ability to provide clinical reasoning and risk assessments confidently and independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
