Job Title: SEND High Needs Officer
Location: Westminster, London (Hybrid – minimum two days per week in the locality)

Reports to: SEN Principal Manager for Case Management
Rate: £267.53 per day
We are currently seeking a SEND High Needs Officer to join the ambitious and inclusive Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in improving services for children and young people with SEND in both Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
About the Role:As a SEND High Needs Officer, you will provide financial oversight, data management, and administrative support to ensure our SEND services are delivered effectively and sustainably.
You will be responsible for: - Monitoring and updating high needs top-up funding using the EBT funding matrix.
- Managing and maintaining finance systems and pupil funding databases.
- Creating and reconciling purchase orders and supplier agreements.
- Coordinating personal budget payments and overseeing invoice approval processes.
- Leading termly audits and financial reviews for schools and independent providers.
- Producing annual reports with analysis, benchmarking, and forecasting of high needs funding.
- Ensuring that finance-related casework information is up to date and accurate.
- This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A background in finance administration, education, or public services is highly desirable.
What We’re Looking For You will have: - Experience coordinating payment schedules and reconciling with databases or caseloads.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail in written and verbal work.
- Sound knowledge of SEND legislation and policy (e.g. Children and Families Act 2014, SEN Code of Practice 2015), or the ability to develop this quickly.
- An understanding of multi-agency working and experience managing stakeholder relationships. Good analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform service delivery.
- English and Maths qualifications or equivalent experience in administrative roles.
