Job Title: Occupational Therapist – Project Work to Reduce Waiting List
Location: Derby
Rate: £23.43 per hour
Contract: Locum | Working remotely and carry out face to face visits in Derby if necessary and we also welcome applicants from outside the Derby area to work fully remotely completing telephone based assessments and or using video calls / use of digital media to complete assessments

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to make an immediate impact?
We’re recruiting for a experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated Occupational Therapist with good problem solving skills to join the  team in Derby aimed at reducing a significant waiting list backlog.
Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake timely OT assessments to address the existing waiting list
• Provide interventions and recommendations to support independence and daily living to customers aged 18 and over with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, physical frailty to maintain their independence in the community. 
• Liaise with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
• Accurately document interventions in line with professional and local authority standards

Requirements:

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience working in community or adult social care settings
• Experiences in manual handling assessments and recommending appropriate equipment and adaptations .
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a fast-paced caseload
• Commitment to efficient, person-centred practice
• Sufficient IT skills include inputting electronic social care records as required by department policy and procedures.
