Working Pattern: Hybrid (2β3 days in office)
We are currently seeking an experienced
SEND Casework Officer to support a busy Local Authority in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with statutory timescales
- Coordinate and lead Annual Reviews, EHCP assessments, and panel recommendations
- Liaise effectively with schools, families, professionals, and multi-agency partners
- Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014
- Provide clear, timely, and accurate written reports and updates
- Support tribunal and mediation processes where necessary
Requirements:- Previous experience in a SEND Case Officer role within a Local Authority
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes, legislation, and statutory duties
- Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using case management systems and IT tools
