Housing Strategy and Policy Lead, West London 
Pay rate £550 per day 
Contract role, Local Authority Housing 
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Housing Strategy and Policy Lead for a Local Authority in West London. 

• This is to develop and matrix manage the Housing Strategy & Policy officers to drive and assure business strategy and transformation. 

• You will lead the development of evidence-led cross-cutting corporate policy and practices, which align with the Council’s vision and values, unify strategies and objectives and can be implemented to provide value for money and improve outcomes for residents. 

• As a principal policy adviser to the Director of Housing and DMT Housing, you will provide high-level advice to inform strategic decisions on the Council's goals, service delivery and cost-effective use of resources. You will lead a range of multi-disciplinary reviews and projects and carry out some of the more sensitive or complex policy projects. 

• You will have responsibility to ensure Housing Strategy & Policy Change Programme is implemented linked to the Social Housing Act. You will ensure residents are engaged and voices heard as part of the Strategy and Policy programme of work. You will work with the senior responsible owners to ensure the service identifies the appropriate metrics to track progress of the implementation of policies. You will work with senior management to shape and develop the Strategy & Policy offer and be pivotal in the way the service delivers a challenging change programme.

You will be experienced working in a matrix way with subject matter experts and senior managers across the Council and with residents and partners 

 
You will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority setting.
