Adult’s Social Worker, Sensory Team, Hull 
Pay rates £35.50 per hour 
Contract role, Sensory Team 
 
Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Adult’s Social Workers in East Yorkshire 
Sensory Social Workers help people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, or who have both hearing and sight loss. Their main jobs are to understand what help people need, arrange support, give advice, and help people live as independently as possible. 
Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assess the needs, abilities, and risks for adults and children with sensory impairments. 

• Create and update support plans with service users, their families, and other professionals. 

• Offer expert advice and support to people with sensory loss, making sure their views are heard and rights protected. 

• Help people get equipment, technology, and resources to support their independence and well-being. 

• Work with health, education, and community groups to coordinate support. 

• Keep accurate, confidential records as required by law and policy. 

• Provide training and raise awareness about sensory loss for colleagues and partners. 

• Stay up to date with laws and best practices related to sensory impairment and social work. 

• Identify and report signs of abuse or neglect, following safeguarding procedures.
