Job Description

Salary: Grade 6 £15,944 - £17,576 (FTE Grade 6 £27,269 - £30,060)
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: Once compliance cleared

Hours: Term Time Only, 25 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 1.00pm)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic primary school that prides itself on having a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a long-standing, well-established team and strong leadership. The school is seeking a highly motivated and organised Office Administrator to join their supportive and enthusiastic staff. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills in a
friendly environment.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a well-organised and efficient administrator with a friendly and professional approach, capable of handling a variety of situations while managing the day-to-day operations of a busy school office.
  • Be flexible and eager to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the smooth running of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing a range of administrative duties to support the school community.
  • Keeping staff and parents up to date with information and assisting with queries from parents and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the School Business Manager, Headteacher, and senior leadership team.
  • Taking responsibility for Attendance and Admissions administration across the school.
Essential Requirements:
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with Durham LA policies and procedures (desirable).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear advice in spoken English.
