Nurture Techer – SEMH School – Small Groups – Intervention
This excellent SEMH school in Tamworth is looking to add a Nurture teacher to the team to work with students who have struggled to engage with education. This amazing school has an incredible leadership team who truly care about the needs of both staff and students. Teachers work together to ensure that every child gets a second chance and enjoy learning. As a Nurture Teacher you will be teaching on 1-2-1 or small group basis, working with KS3/4 students who are currently working at a Key Stage 2 ability level. You will be teaching across a range of areas, helping these students to catch up and understand the importance of education.

This Nurture Teacher role is suitable for a teacher from either a primary or secondary background, however a commitment to helping young people overcome barriers to education is essential. A Teacher who is resilient, empathetic, and compassionate would be ideal for this role as most of the student that you work with require a little extra “nurture”. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who has previously worked as a nurture teacher or a teacher looking for a new and rewarding challenge. Qualified teacher status is essential for this role.
Job Role:

• Teaching nurture groups of students with SEMH needs.
• Covering a range of subjects to meet the needs of the students.
• Breaking down barriers to education and inspiring students.
• Effectively managing classroom behaviours.
• Providing feedback to the SENCO and SLT on student progress.
