Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs
This wonderful special school in North Birmingham is currently recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide support for Key Stage 3 & 4 students with a primary diagnosis of Autism. This welcoming and friendly school has an excellent reputation for ensuring that young people with Autism have access to an outstanding education. Teaching Assistants work closely with the class teacher to provide any additional guidance that students require, supporting on a 1-2-1 and whole class basis.

Leadership are excellent and you will be working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants to understand and meet the needs of the young people in your class. Previous experience supporting children with autism is desirable for this role as you will be expected to have a good understanding of assisting children with special needs. The school has a lovely warm feeling, and you can tell that students enjoy learning, this is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
Job Role:

• Supporting on a whole class or 1-2-1 basis for students with a range of special educational needs and barriers to learning.
• Having a good understanding of a range of special educational needs.
• Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant.
• Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils.
• Making learning fun and engaging for pupils with special educational needs.
