Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs
This excellent special school is currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide support for a small class of Key Stage 3 children with special educational needs. This lovely class consists of 6 children with a primary diagnosis of Autism. As a Teaching Assistant you will be leading break out activities, providing 1-2-1 support and helping the class teacher to manage the day to day running of the class.

Staff at this school are welcoming and supportive, and the Headteacher is committed to ensuring that every child receives a wonderful education. You will be joining a team of Teaching Assistants who love what they do and provide outstanding support for students. Ideally you will be a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential. Job Role:

• Supporting children on a 1-2-1 or small group basis.
• Acting as a Teaching Assistant / Classroom Assistant.
• Working closely with the class teachers to provide the right support.
• Managing behaviours if required.
• Understanding a range of special educational needs.
• Providing consistency and care for children.
• Making learning fun, engaging, and nurturing.
