Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant required to work on a 1-2-1 basis with a male Key Stage 2 child at an Ofsted Good primary school located in North Birmingham. Are you a Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting children with additional needs? This role requires a Teaching Assistant who is comfortable supporting a Key Stage 2 Boy on a 1-2-1 basis. This pupil has struggled to engage with lessons and requires some additional behavioural support. As a Teaching Assistant working on a 1-2-1 basis, you will be providing academic and emotional support for this child. Clear communication skills and previous experience supporting children with special educational needs is essential.

This role requires a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working on a 1-2-1 basis and can help this child to reengage with lessons. Ideally you will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent.
Job role:

• Providing 1-2-1 assistants for a male pupil within a mainstream setting
• Assisting the class teacher in supporting the needs of children when required
• Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on positive behaviours
• Providing additional academic support for the child that you are assisting
• Working with a team of Teaching Assistants / Classroom Assistants to support individual needs of children
