The school provides education for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties. This role is perfect for a Design & Technology Teacher who thrives on helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Job Role:

• Teaching Design & Technology to small classes of students with special educational needs.
• Planning and delivering creative, hands-on lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Developing students' practical skills and confidence in areas such as resistant materials, design principles, and woodworking.
• Creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviours.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to education.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design & Technology, ideally within a SEND or inclusive education setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
• A valid DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
