English Teacher – Secondary Academy (East Birmingham)
Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for a new opportunity in a well-established East Birmingham secondary academy? This large, vibrant school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills to join their successful English department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or a confident ECT to work in a school that has high expectations for both students and staff. With excellent support from leadership and a collaborative teaching team, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage students to develop a love for English.
Job Role:

• Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, up to GCSE.
• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
• Working closely with the English department to drive progress and raise attainment.
• Supporting students in developing their literacy, analytical, and creative writing skills.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge with a passion for English.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
• Experience teaching GCSE English with a track record of improving student outcomes.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
