English Teacher – Secondary Academy in North Solihull - ASAP Start

Job Role:
  • Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on preparing students for GCSE success.
  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Supporting the development of literacy skills across the school.
  • Managing behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the English department to develop curriculum resources and best practices.
  • Taking part in extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • A passion for English and the ability to inspire a love for literature and language.
  • A valid DBS check on the update service.
