Production Operatives – Henstridge
Salary: £25,400 – £39,000 per annum (depending on shift & experience)
Overtime: Time and a half after 40 hours (pre-authorised)
Shifts Available:

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
Mid Shift: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00

A well-established steel processing company is currently recruiting Production Operatives to join our team at our Henstridge site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, safety-conscious workplace with excellent opportunities for training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a range of manual and CNC-based metal processing machinery
Process steel to customer specifications, ensuring full traceability through our quality systems
Read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions
Safely operate forklifts, Combilifts, and overhead cranes
Perform equipment checks at the start of each shift
Prepare processed materials for dispatch (banding, palletising, bagging, etc.)
Load and unload parts from plasma and laser machines
Accurately identify steel types using measuring tools
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Report incidents, equipment faults, and safety concerns promptly
Engage with health, safety, and environmental policies
Support training and mentoring where needed

Experience & Skills Required:

Experience using measuring equipment and reading technical drawings
Forklift, Combi lift, or side loader experience
Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality procedures
Proactive and responsible attitude

Training provided on day shift regardless of final shift placement
30-minute paid break per shift
