We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person within our Adult Social Care Safeguarding and DoLS Team  
As a Social Work Assistant within the team your role will include: 

• Ensuring that the council meets its adult social care statutory duties under the Care Act 2014. 

• Contributing towards the maintenance of high-quality services and the promotion of independence of service users and their carers 

• Promote Local Authorities duties in protecting adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse as outlined in sect 42  of the Care Act 2014, whilst preventing and stopping both the risk and experience of the abuse while making sure that Adult’s wellbeing is promoted , where appropriate  

• Having regard to their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs in accordance with the making Safeguarding Personal Approach 

• Supporting Qualified Social Worker, the team in ensuring that the customers are protected 

• To gather information for safeguarding enquiry/concern under supervision of the safeguarding Enquiry Officer/ Social Worker  

• To undertake duty and participate in the duty rota 

• To participate in team meetings and other professional forum
