Youth Offending Operations Manager, Havering
Rate: £45.20 Umbrella Work Arrangements: Office based with some remote working 4 day working week (minimum 3 days on-site) Interviews: Ongoing Duration: 3 months (with opportunity for extension)
- Responsible for the delivery of a youth offending service which ensures that children, young people, families and communities are effectively safeguarded. This includes using statutory interventions within the criminal justice and social care frameworks as appropriate. 2.Directly responsible for the leadership and management of the team ensuring the delivery of high quality, fully integrated services to children, young people and their families in line with the requirements of national legislation (including government regulation, local policy and best practice). 3.Provide direct oversight and decision-making on highly complex cases within the youth offending service and to take a lead on key areas such as harmful practices (gangs and serious youth violence / CSE / Prevent) and whole family work. 4.Responsible for the HR management, performance and resource allocation for the team effectively managing, motivating, developing and empowering staff to enable the delivery of a high quality, productive service to achieve the Council’s service objectives.
