HVAC Project Engineer

My client are an M&E Contractor and are part of a Group of Companies that have been operating since the early 1990’s.

Based out of their Surrey office, they now employ over 50 people and turnover in excess of £10mil.

Their client base are generally large Tier 1 Contractors along with some direct end clients.

Projects are Design & Build and anything from Commercial, Industrial, Shop Fitting and Super Prime Residential with Project Values go up to about £4.5mil.

Due to growth, they are now seeking an HVAC Project Engineer to join the team with a strong emphasis on HVAC Design.
 

THE ROLE – HVAC Project Engineer (Design)


Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm / 40 Hour Weeks  

Based out of their Surrey office, you will be working alongside a Senior Project Engineer and eventually take over from him in the next couple of years.

Duties:

• Design air conditioning and ventilation systems for high end residential, commercial and domestic projects.
• Responsible for CAD work but also designs, draws up and arranges for the installation of the ventilation and air conditioning systems for various commercial and domestic projects.
• Responsible for specifying and selecting the ventilation and air conditioning equipment to be used in our projects, from simple toilet wall extract fans to large air handling units and split systems to large VRV systems.
• Carry out site surveys and take measurements to ensure that he select the plant equipment most suitable for clients’ needs.
• While a project is active, liaise with sales representatives from various manufacturers, Daikin, Mitsubishi, VES etc to get quotes and attend design team meetings for progress updates and any news regarding the project.
• At the end of a project, compile the commissioning sheets and O&M’s ready for handover to the client.
• During the quiet periods between projects, carry out administration duties and help the maintenance team with their work as and when needed.

 

The ideal candidate:

• Have an HVAC related qualification
• Be experienced with HVAC Design & Calculations
• Live locally to Surrey
• Have strong HVAC & Mechanical knowledge
