SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Enfield – Immediate Start Pertemps Education is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in a primary school in Enfield. This role involves providing personalised assistance to a child, helping them overcome learning challenges and ensuring they can engage fully with the curriculum.
Location: Enfield
Pay: £90-£100 per day
Start Date: October

Key Responsibilities: - Provide 1:1 tailored support to a student with special educational needs.
- Assist the student in staying focused and participating actively in lessons.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement individualised learning plans (IEPs) and adapt materials to meet the student’s needs.
- Promote the student’s emotional and social development, building their confidence and independence.
- Monitor the student’s progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for the student.
Qualifications and Skills: - Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build a strong relationship with the student.
- Understanding of SEN conditions, such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or sensory impairments.
- Basic knowledge of safeguarding and child protection protocols.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff and parents.
