Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant – Brixton – Immediate Start 
Are you passionate about supporting young children with special educational needs in their early years of education? Role Overview: 
  • Position: Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant 
  • Location: Brixton 
  • Start Date: Immediate 
  • Contract: Full-Time  
  • Salary: £105 - £115 per day (Dependent on experience) 
 
About You: 
  • Has experience working with children in an Early Years setting. 
  • Has supported children with special educational needs, including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays. 
  • Can provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children to engage in learning and social activities. 
  • Is confident in using alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, or visual timetables. 
  • Can build positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional well-being and development. 
  • Works well as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff. 
  • Has a patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with children with diverse needs. 
 
Your Responsibilities: 
  • Support young children in developing essential communication, social, and early learning skills. 
  • Implement individual learning plans and sensory activities tailored to children’s needs. 
  • Assist in behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies. 
  • Provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where children feel supported. 
  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure children make progress in their development.
