Role Overview - Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Art and Design at secondary level
- Be passionate about developing students’ creativity and artistic skills
- Be confident in delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art
- Have a strong knowledge of art history and contemporary practices
- Be committed to fostering a positive and inspiring learning environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support extracurricular activities and exhibitions
Your Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons that inspire students of all abilities
- Encourage students to experiment with different techniques and materials
- Assess and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback to support students' development
- Organise art displays, exhibitions, and creative projects within the school
- Promote cross-curricular links and the integration of art into wider learning
- Support students in preparing portfolios for GCSE and A-Level coursework
- Contribute to the wider creative and cultural life of the school
