About the Role: Pertemps Education is seeking a dedicated and proactive
Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist secondary provision in Hackney. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, helping them develop positive habits and emotional resilience. Your support will be essential in helping students overcome behavioural challenges and ensuring they can thrive in the school environment.
Location: Hackney
Pay: £92-£100 per day
Start Date: November
Interview Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities: - Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and use positive reinforcement to encourage good conduct and participation.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individual behaviour plans tailored to students’ needs.
- Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
- Monitor student progress, regularly providing updates to staff and parents.
- Assist in maintaining a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications and Skills: - Experience working with children with SEMH and behavioural difficulties, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
