Teaching Assistant – Islington – Immediate StartAre you a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable TA to join our team in Islington, where you’ll work alongside teachers to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment across a range of subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Support: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across various subjects.
- Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive, focused learning environment, particularly for students with SEMH challenges.
- Individual & Group Support: Provide one-on-one and group assistance, with emphasis on SEN and SEMH needs.
- Skill Development: Encourage students to build study skills, confidence, and a love for learning.
- Resource Preparation: Organise and prepare learning materials and resources to support diverse learning needs.
- Student Welfare: Contribute to students' personal and social development with sensitivity to their SEN and SEMH needs.
Requirements:
- Relevant Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people, particularly supporting students with SEN and SEMH.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Passion for Education: Genuine commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with students and staff.
