Teacher of the Deaf – Camden – January Start We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Pay: £170.00-£250.00 per day + SEN Allowance

Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Use specialised teaching strategies and resources, including British Sign Language (BSL) and assistive technologies, to support learning.
- Work closely with students, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to create individualised learning plans.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to support both academic and personal development.
- Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued and supported.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay current with advancements in deaf education.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Additional qualification in Deaf Education (e.g., Teacher of the Deaf qualification).
- Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) or a commitment to achieving proficiency.
- Experience working with children with hearing impairments, including the use of assistive listening devices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- A commitment to fostering independence and confidence in children with hearing impairments.
