We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Production Team Leader to join our labelling department in Cheltenham. This is a permanent position with a starting salary of £26,000 per annum, offering opportunities for career progression within the company.
The Production Team Leader plays a vital role in ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading an efficient team.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the daily workflow, from creation to completion of assigned tasks.
- Monitor staff performance, ensuring team members are motivated and meeting targets.
- Assemble and distribute components for orders and stock to the relevant department.
- Plan weekly production based on the production schedule and sales orders.
- Coordinate with the despatch and production supervisors to allocate staff effectively.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage stock levels, addressing any discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate documentation of stock movements and maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Manage waste products and address any spills or damages in line with company policies.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, eliminating hazards like slips and trips.
- Monitor and resolve quality control issues, ensuring consistent high standards.
- Provide staff training on operational practices, including weighing scales, waste and chemical handling, labelling, and the use of equipment such as pump and sack trucks.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices, particularly within the distribution centre.
- Ensure adequate team coverage during your absence.
- Attend weekly/monthly meetings and training sessions.
- Contribute to company growth as part of the implementation team.
- Oversee the label room and ensure all labels are handled responsibly.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
To be Successful:- Counterbalance and reach truck certification.
- Experience in a leadership role within production or labelling.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to meet targets.
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00.
