Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor

My client are a leading multi-discipline building and engineering services provider who have been operating since the 1970’s.

London operations are based out of their Kings Cross Office which now consists of around 20 staff.

Very exciting time to join the business, they currently turnover £60mil but are projecting £100mil Turnover in the next 2 years.

They specialise in Projects in a value range of £10mil - £20mil – but do go as high as £26mil.

Specialist Projects are all London based and refurbishments, in a variety of sectors which include: Healthcare, Hotels, Education, CAT A/B Office Fit Outs, Leisure, Residential and Public Sectors.

Their Quantity Surveying team consists of 2 Senior QS’ and 2 Mid-level QS’. They are now seeking a Junior QS to join their team.

The Junior QS will work directly underneath a Senior QS with a structure above him and be assigned to a particular project.

They will be spending 3 days in the Office and 2 days on site (on average).

THE ROLE – Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Monday – Thursday – 8am – 5pm / Friday – 8am – 2pm

The Junior M&E Quantity Surveyor will work directly underneath a Senior QS and be assigned to a particular project, spending 3 days in the Office and 2 days on site (on average).

The role will involve assisting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager in carrying out their day to day activities including duties such as:

• Contract administration
• Subcontract and material procurement
• Contract / subcontractor negotiation
• Cost value reconciliation
• Processing and agreeing client and subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.

SALARY & PACKAGE

• £25,000 - £28,000
• Cover all Travel costs to Office (Daily) & Site
• Yearly Bonus Schemes, which is based on Project & Company Performance
• 2pm finish on Fridays
• 20 Days Holiday & 8 Bank Holidays
