Children’s Social Worker – Kingston & Richmond Referral & AssessmentRate: up to £37 per hour We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within children’s services.
Minimum requirement is to be in the office/out in the community 3 days a week; role based in the Twickenham office.
About the role: As a Social Worker within the Referral and Assessment Team, you will have proven experience encompassing the skills and knowledge in working with families. Experience in working with children and families will include:
- confidence in undertaking child protective investigations, alongside safety and contingency planning
- court work and pre-proceedings experience including report writing, statements and care planning
- child focused direct work that role models creativity and purposefulness; experience in working with children throughout a journey of statutory services, including becoming ‘looked after’
- having the confidence in chairing complex meetings
The role will work effectively within a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing good practice related to interventions and work in an agile way. We trust that you will do your best in all the work that you do. To support this, you will be provided with digital technology to work in an agile way and in engaging with children and young people.
The role will receive reflective supervision provided through 1-1 and group learning experiences using our Signs of Safety framework to guide your work and approach as a Social Worker alongside regular supervision sessions.
