Rate: up to £157.41 per day
 
We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within children’s services.
 
This is a post for a Social Worker to join the Children in Care Service with Durham Council. The successful candidate will hold a caseload of up to 25 children who are looked after by Durham Council - this can range from being placed at home with parents, foster placements, connected care placements, residential homes and supported/independent accommodation.
 
The candidate will need to work with other professionals and services to ensure effective care planning including Fostering Team, Home Finder Team, IRO's, Care Leavers Team, Missing and Exploitation Team, Edge of Care Team etc.
 
We offer a hybrid working system, whereby the candidate is expected to work in the office (based at AbbeyWoods in) for 1-2 days a week. The candidate can work at the office more days if this is preferable. Majority of our meetings are held over TEAMS and the system we use is LCS.
