Rate: up to £44.50 per hour
 
We are recruiting for motivated qualified social worker to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience within children’s services.
 
The Team Leader will provide the operational management and leadership support across the service geographical areas supporting the Head of Family and Youth Resilience and other Heads of Service. The role will ensure high levels of quality interventions, effective case management oversight, decision making and overall performance in the best interest to adolescents and their families.
 
This is a unique post in that it is the only team within AFC which requires management oversight of Adolescents across the social care spectrum from the point of referral (assessment), through planning, including CS&E reviews, care proceedings, children in or leaving care. The post holder will be skilled with adolescents who are the hardest to reach and carry the most risk and thus will quality assure the work undertaken.
 
The majority of families held within the team are singular children and not sibling groups so the ability to hold different children in mind is vital. The role will include keeping children at home where it is safe to do so and in line with the child’s best interests.
