We are recruiting for motivated qualified social workers to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
This is a qualified role requiring you to be SWE registered and have relevant experience in children’s services.
 
Role Overview
 
We are seeking a skilled and motivated social worker to join the Corporate Parenting team. This role involves managing a caseload of 8-10 cases; acting as a senior member of staff, and ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Provide comprehensive social work support within the Corporate Parenting framework.
• Manage a caseload of 8-10 children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld.
• Act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Engage in safeguarding court work, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to promote the welfare of children and ensure their safety.

 
Essential Criteria:
 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate parenting or safeguarding court work is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing social work practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote work.
